This paper by Waclawczyk & Oberlack (Journal of Mathematical Physics, 2016) is misleading and flawed, including mathematical errors and inconsistent conclusions.

Conformal invariance of the zero-vorticity Lagrangian path in 2D turbulence

The conformal invariance for the Lundgren-Monin-Novikov vorticity equations cannot be confirmed, neither in the Eulerian nor in the Lagrangian framework.
